Manual was prompt and professional. He fixed the lock on our curbside mailbox that is a stuccoed built in. The lock was not catching and therefore it wasn’t secure. It’s like new again. Thanks Manual and Altadena Lock & Key.

Great customer service, easy to work with. Great legacy items on display showing dedication to the craft. With big box stores going toward automated key makers that when you have a problem you have to call an 1-800 number to go through a lengthy automated phone tree. These guys are very knowledgeable and can solve your problem easy. As things move to more online, these guys are certain to have a staying until AI can really do keys and diagnose problems. Further I'd love an AI robot be able to adapt and figure out how to break into all the types of cars with keys left in them. Thanks guys.

I tried about 9 different locksmiths to get keys made for my 90 Ford Ranger. Most said they couldn't do it. Two set up appointments that they didn't show up for. Envision Ford wanted me to tow it in. Several companies seemed to have the same call center and after promising a call back (in a few minutes), either didn't call back or called back the next day.

After waiting by my car all day I stopped in at Altadena lock and key. The two guys working were nice and super positive. They told me the owner could meet me in an hour and make the keys. The owner Manny, turned out to be the dad of the guys in the shop. He came out and made the keys, charged me a very low price. He said that he was just trying to help people that lost everything in Altadena. I would've given him a bigger tip than $20 but that's all I had.

Not to put too fine a point on it but I was watching him work and I've never seen a key made like that. Manny is a true craftsman and a very sweet man.

Manuel and his family are such amazing people who help community members in need and who show up for community. He helped us copy keys for our truck that we had saved from the Eaton fire. If you are considering a locksmith for any need, Manuel is the person without a doubt! Thank you again for helping my family, it means the world to us!

A pillar of our community. He came out after me house burned down to make a key for my old VW bug that survived. He had to take the lock cylinder back to the shop and bring it back to install and he didn’t even want to charge me. I made a donation instead. I hope this business does very well. Family owned business that provides old fashion quality customer service at fair prices. I’d say, a valuable treasure in Altadena. They offer 24 hours service, again, at very reasonable rates when compared to most other highly overpriced locksmith shops.
