About This Locksmith Business

Our company started in December 1962 in a small 600 square foot Locksmith Shop at 346 N. Stanislaus Street as a one-man operation with one service van, by our Founder Mr. Charlie Skobrak Sr.

Soon after, his wife, Donna, joined him at the store to help with answering phones and helping customers. In 1964, Charlie hired his first employee. Soon more space was needed, and the building at 346 N Stanislaus Street was purchased. The front of the building became the locksmith shop, and the back became Stockton’s first U.L. Approved Central Station to monitor burglar and fire alarm signals.

With the increase in crime, more protection services were added to protect lives, valuables, homes, and businesses. The industry and our company responded with high-tech electronic security products and systems to meet customer needs in physical and electronic protection.

In 1973, our second locksmith shop was opened on Pacific Avenue, now located at 526 W. Benjamin Holt Drive, to serve our customers in the north Stockton area. We soon outgrew our facility at Stanislaus and Lindsay Streets and in 1978 relocated our main locksmith shop to a larger and better location at 706 N. El Dorado Street, Stockton, California.

We have been providing excellent service for over 55 years in San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Calaveras, Amador, Tuolumne, and Sacramento Counties.
