Minuteman was incorporated in 1987. It began as a mobile locksmith business operating one service vehicle without any retail locations.
After several acquisitions of preexisting locksmith companies, we now operate seven mobile service vehicles along with our retail location, Meridian Lock & Key, which opened in 1957. We employ 7 full-time locksmiths with combined lock and security experience of over 60 years.
Through factory training, educational classes and constant exposure to new products, Minuteman’s staff is always learning the best methods to sell, install, and service the highest quality products available. All of our locksmiths are equipped with leading equipment to do the job quickly and professionally and allow for 24 hour mobile locksmith service.
We are currently contracted by AAA Oregon/Idaho as their preferred locksmith for emergency roadside assistance with automotive locks, keys, and keyless entries in Boise and Ada County. We have provided year round, 24/7 service for AAA for more than 30 years. We have received the “Service Provider of the Year” award twice. No other locksmith in the AAA Oregon/Idaho club has ever received this award.
We offer knowledgeable, courteous dispatching for the entire Treasure Valley area, with the intent of rendering locksmith and security service within 24 hours of your request. Often, due to our crew of 7 locksmiths and their well-stocked mobile units, we can render same-day service. We have a locksmith on-call after hours and on weekends.

I have been using Minuteman for years and they have always been excellent. The techs are polite and efferent and the office staff is wonderful. I have used them for car lockouts, re-keying homes and rentals and commercial re-keys. Always very happy. Honest pricing and good service.
I have used these guys before and have had a great experience. Great guys, knowledgeable, fast, inexpensive. The code to the office safe wouldn’t work and we lost the key. I knew where to take it. They quickly were able to get into the safe, fix and reset the code, and make a new key. Great place. I won’t go anywhere else.
The guys at Minuteman helped me get a box unlocked and make new keys for the box. I was surprised at how fast they got the job completed. They called me to say it was finished before I even got home. Friendly employees who did great work for me.
